SOUL SAFARI

FAQ

SOUL SAFARI Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa to visit South Africa?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many passport holders from the U.S., U.K., most of Europe, Australia, and select other countries do not require a visa for stays under 90 days.
We highly recommend checking the most current visa policies via your local South African consulate or embassy.

Are vaccinations required or recommended?

South Africa does not currently require any vaccinations for entry unless you are arriving from a yellow fever risk country (such as parts of South America or Central Africa), in which case proof of vaccination may be requested.

Cape Town and the retreat areas are malaria-free.

Is the retreat location safe?

Yes. The retreat is hosted in an exclusive, secure villa estate in the Cape Winelands and all off-site experiences are private, professionally managed, and led by vetted guides. Private transfers and security measures ensure your peace of mind throughout your journey.

What is the best time of year to attend the retreat?

Cape Town enjoys a Mediterranean climate. The ideal retreat seasons are:

  • October to April: Warm, sunny weather (perfect for sailing, safari, and outdoor ceremonies).

  • May to September: Cooler, more introspective—ideal for internal healing, fireside rituals, and deep rest.

Each season offers something profound and beautiful. We tailor the program slightly to align with the energy of the time.

What should I pack for the retreat?

We recommend comfortable, breathable resort-style clothing for yoga and ceremonies, a light jacket for evenings, swimwear for the ice pool or ocean, and a set of dressier resort-wear for fine dining and the sail yacht cruise.
All yoga equipment, towels, amenities, and ceremony items will be provided for you.

A full Luxury Packing List will be sent to you upon booking confirmation.

Is this retreat suitable for solo travelers?

Absolutely. Many of our guests arrive solo seeking connection, healing, or clarity. Private suites ensure total comfort and privacy, while intimate group activities foster soulful, meaningful connection in a safe space.

How do I get to the retreat location?

International guests will fly into Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our dedicated team and transferred via private transfer to the retreat villa—an effortless, beginning to your journey.

All internal transfers and transport are included in your package.

What level of physical fitness is required?

The retreat is designed to be gentle and restorative. Most activities—yoga, walks, safari, and ceremonies—can be adjusted to your level of comfort. There are no strenuous hikes or demanding physical requirements. This is a space for ease, not pressure.

Will there be internet and mobile service?

Yes, though we encourage digital detox where possible. The villa has high-speed Wi-Fi, and most areas of Cape Town and the Winelands have reliable mobile reception. If you need to remain connected for business or family reasons, you’ll be fully supported.

Are meals and dietary needs catered for?

Yes, our chef will prepare nutritionally-balanced, gourmet meals using fresh, local, often organic ingredients. We cater to all dietary preferences including plant-based, gluten-free and allergy-specific needs.
All meals, snacks, herbal elixirs, teas, and ceremonial cacao are included in your retreat.

How many guests are on each retreat?

To preserve the sacred intimacy of the experience, we host no more than 10 guests per retreat. This allows for deep personal attention, luxurious space, and meaningful energetic cohesion among participants.
